SILWEAR ANTI-INSECT with UPF Protection and Silver Ions

To enhance comfort during equestrian training, our shirts are treated with an anti-insect finish that effectively reduces mosquito bites and helps protect against ticks.

UV radiation is present all year round and can have both beneficial and harmful effects. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause sunburn, skin discoloration and contribute to the development of skin cancer.

A shirt made from standard cotton provides only minimal protection against harmful UV rays. In this case, the UPF rating is around 5, meaning that approximately 1/5 of harmful UV radiation can reach the skin. This is far too much!

Our garments feature UPF 50 protection, meaning the fabric provides up to 98% UV protection.

The shirt is also quick-drying, while the integrated silver ions help prevent the growth of bacteria and the formation of unpleasant odors. On hot days, the fabric also provides a cooling effect, helping to keep you comfortable during training.

Technical Specifications

The Sanitized® AM 23-24 treatment used in the fabric has been dermatologically tested and is safe for both humans and horses. The anti-insect finish remains effective for up to 50 washes.
